Closes on the early side but exactly the amazing ramen and buns you might expect, with impeccable service. A carafe of sake and a couple bowls of ramen is all we needed. We got both the normal and veggie akamaru with a poached egg. Yum!

I went to Ippudo Berkeley, a Japanese restaurant. We ordered their selection of Buns (we could choose 3 of their buns) and we ordered 2 chicken buns and one pork bun. The buns were lovely! Must try again.

God bless em! We were looking for a special meal at 9pm on Christmas Eve and Ippudo was OPEN and serving up the best ramen we could ever ask for. They were friendly and attentive- the server suggested her favorite- the spicy pork ramen, and it was INCREDIBLE. I would absolutely go back there, and thank you for being open on Christmas Eve. Those employees are angels. 🙏

One of my favorite ramen places! If you get a bun, the chicken bun is a must-have. The crispness, crunch, and the sauce are incredible. The noodles were well-cooked and the broth was delicious. My friend and I shared one bowl and it was the perfect portion for us since we had a late lunch and stopped by a dessert shop before an early dinner. We thought we had to wait for 20-30 minutes for a table for 2 at a busy dinner hour but we didn’t wait long! About 15 minutes. Reasonable prices, and friendly staff. When we come back we’re trying the other buns and getting extras of the chicken bun!

The veggie Akamaru the tastiest vegan/vegetarian ramens I’ve ever had, I love the flavor of the broth, 10/10 flavor. The portion is relatively small, meaning it was actually a good portion size but not as big as other places. It’s a bit pricy but so is everywhere in berkeley. The whole restaurant smells very good.

The service was great as soon as we got there with their attentive and friendly staff. Ordered a few different ramens and my miso tonkatsu was the least favorite. Says more that the other were slightly better, not that mine wasn't good. The karagee (sp?) chicken was very good so can see why that's so popular. Although it is a chain, will recommend giving them a try if you haven't before.

First time in Ippudo Berkeley. Just as good as the one in NYC Westside. Get the pork buns, pork gyoza and akamaru modern ramen bowl. The pork buns and pork gyoza were so good we had to order a second round because my children were fighting over them.

Ordered the Veggie Akamaru よさいあかまる and it was delightful. I invited co-workers to join me this time, and they were pleased. I raved about this place to them, and Ippudo did not disappoint! I wish the Cupertino location had the same quality though. I received burnt truffle fries there.
